Hi Wayne,
I would be very interested in that information on the Brule's or Bruley's. I recently received an e-mail from a woman from Michigan looking for Brule roots although her family changed the spelling to Bruley some time in the late 1700's. The Brule's came to North America from Amiens, Picardie, France and moved to Quebec (as did the Patenaudes. They then moved down to New England and the Northeastern states. My great-grandmother, Rosina Patenaude was actually born in New Bedford,MA but her parents were from Quebec. Rosina's husband, Mastai Brule', was from Quebec and moved to MA in 1893 with his parents.
I look forward to learning more about the Patenaudes in Canada at the end of this month, there is a family reunion planned!
Thanks again for any info. you can give me!
