Sifting through marriages in Montreal, I found the following:

Charles PATENAUDE (Romuald & Catherine Lemaire) married Laura Aurore BELANGER (Julien & Alph. PELERIN) on 15 June 1930 in the parish of St-Jean-Berchmans, Montreal. ["Alph." is likely "Alphonsine"]

Another piece to your puzzle.

By the way, the Patenaudes are planning another reunion in September 2003 in the Longueuil/Montreal area. Just thought I'd pass the info along.
