I never thought there was so many diffrent spellings to one sername.I have be trying and trying to find out information on my family"s history. Its sad because I only get little bits and pieces from my father, but here is what I have been told.
I was born Shelly Louise Patnaud 5/3/59 to Gordon and Kathleen (Stahler) Patnaud. My father was born Feb 23rd 1937 in NJ.His father was Alexander Patnaud (not sure when the E's were taken out)who he was told was born in Conn. He was said to have died in or around 1938,His wife, my grandmother, was Mary or Marie (Kanach)Patnaud she and my greatgrand parents came from poland. I was told that my greatgrand father Patnaud was a trapper in Quebec canada who married a squaw(I know real bad term) whos name I dont know.Back then no marrage records were kept,so I have been told.I have been searching for months and come up with the same old things.I need to know who my family is. Theres a hole I need to fill.
My grandfather had siblings but I have no birthdates
Alexander Patnaud- my granfather
Henry Patnaud-My greatuncle
Herbert Patnaud-My greatuncle
Gurturde Patnaud-My greatauntwho became a Kersbom
All information of any kind is welcome if you can help me or give me some place to start I would welcome it.
