Wilfred was the first of his family to attend University, where he received a degree in Agriculture and studied mineralogy and geology.
By 1947, Wilfred had married Branwen Hughes who lived on the ranch with the Patenaude Family. Two children were born, Anne Christine and three years later a son David Honor.
Moving to Quesnel in 1960, Wilf became a Canada Manpower Councillor for twelve years. Retiring in 1972, Wilf and his son David built a house at Dragon Lake, where Wilf and Branwen have lived ever since.
