When I was a little girl in the 1950's in Embrun, Ontario, Sr. Jean de Jésus would come to visit us every few years. She was a "soeur blanche d'Afrique" I believe. She was my father's aunt (I think). My father was Charles PATENAUDE, son of Dominat PATENAUDE and Élise SAINT-DENIS. I don't know if Sr. Jean de Jésus is a PATENAUDE or a SAINT-DENIS.
Would need to know out who Soeur Jean de Jésus was in civilian life, where she was born, who were her parents, where she died, etc.
She was a wonderful woman, very loving. I have very fond memories of her. I don't recal her coming to visit us after the mid-1960's. Was she dead, busy otherwise, or I was just not there? I need to find out.
