Dear Janice, My father and grandparents arrived in Melbourne in the early 1920s,however,members of my grandfathers family had been coming to Victoria since the early 1850s. In 1858 two people by the name of Annie Patience arrived in Melbourne aboard the ship the "John and Lucy".The elder of the two was aged 20, the younger was aged 10.More detailed information can be obtained from the Public Record Office of Victoria on the internet.
