Hi Randy
My connections actually my husbands come from James b.abt 1831 son of Alexander & Sarah. I have Helen & Margaret listed also Sarah b.abt. 1825. & Donald b. abt 1830.

Sarah McPherson was b abt 1795 and died in Petty in 1862
Her parents were Donald McPherson & Margaret Fraser.I believe they were married in Petty 20 Aug 1788.

James Patience married Jessie Smith in 1856 in Petty. They had Ann, Donald, James, Jessie & William.

Donald was born 20 Jun 1863 Rockfield Village,Tarbat,Ross-shire.Strangely his birth certificate shows his parents marriage as 9th Oct. 1857 (But accuracy of dates did not seem too important in my experience of this family) There seemed to be a mass exodus from Petty to Rockfied as in 1881 Census a lot of the people shown were b. Petty
He married Margaret Mitchell in 1892 and they had Jessie/Netta, Alexander, James, Sarah, Robert, Margaret & Donald.

Jessie or Netta as she was known was my husbands grandmother. She died in 1983.

Hope this is of interest
Susan

p.s.I also have a lot more detail re Census info etc.

p.p.s.Also discovered a Donald b. 16 Sep 1862, Rockfield to Donald Patience & Janet Cameron m 1st Nov 1853 Petty
