Hello, Someone just sent me this message, so I am replying, because the people listed are my ancestors. I am extremely interested in your posting. My Pattow family did spell their name Patow with two dots above the a, or Paetow, until about 1881, when they added an extra t.
John L. Pattow was my grandfather. He died Nov., 1976. I knew him and his brother, Uncle Harry. The others died before I was born.
I am curious about the old German Bible. Was there a name in it, or other family names? Where did you find it?
I hope to hear from you.
Barbara Pattow-Vigil
