Patricks in Richmond Co., NC ca. 1820

I am trying to trace my great grandfather's line. He was Britton Patrick,b. 1812, from Richmond Co., NC. I have found a William Patrick on the 1820 census with a child listed of an age that could be my Britton Patrick. Does anyone have any information on a family with a William Patrick of Richmomd Co. listed in their genealogy?

I have also found a DAR patriot of NC named John PATRICK, born Ireland, who had a wife named Mary. Both Mary and John are common names brought down in this family. He was recently listed with the DAR society. Does anyone have any information on this family?

Any help appreciated.
