Hello Jean,I wonder if this is the battle where Lount and Matthews and others were fighting with William Lyon Mackenzie. Lount and Matthews were hanged. I have heard stories that my great great grandfather was one of Mackenzie's men. His name was Robert McGowan.He and others apparently escaped across the border to the United States until the coast was clear. I hope someone can give us more information.
