Laban served in the 2nd Regiment of the 1st Brigade. He served in 1843. Two other Matteson's are listed there also.
Orvil Matteson and Hiram Matteson. Does anyone have any records of Laban? Who are his parents? Does he have siblings? Laban Norton Matteson was born May 31, 1812 in Bennington county Vermont. He married Aug. 28, 1836 to Clarissa Daniels the daughter of Johnson Daniels and Rhoda King. Johnson is the son of Starling Daniels and Clarrisa Johnson. In 1831 Laban bought land from Solomon Matteson and Jared Matteson (son of Solomon). He sold this land in 1838. Does anyone know anything about Laban??
