Hi Carmel;

This family really travelled. F.X. and Genevieve Mallet married (under the name Elizabeth)in Grenville. They remained there for about 5 yrs then went to the US where Francois junior was born about 1860. Then they settled in East Hawkesbury for a while, after which they seem to have moved to Cornwall where they stayed probably till about 1872. After that they moved to Lochiel, I believe, before moving to Buckingham. Some children seem to have been born in Cornwall, but I haven't been able to find those. Bewteen 1865 and 1875, four children were baptised in St Andrews West, Ont., R.C. church. Thus it seems they moved away from around East Hawkesbury after 1870 and returned after 1872.
From your family lore. do you know if there is First Nation blood?
