I am just getting started on genealogy so don't have too much info, but can add a little. George W. was one of 21 children of John Pattee (by 3 wives, thank goodness!). My great-grandfather, Benjamin F. Pattee, was George W.'s brother. I believe that they had the same mother, Sarah Lovell.

Family lore is that many of the children were named after famous Americans, thus Benjamin F.'s middle name was Franklin. So I suspect that George W.'s middle name was Washington. Of the 21 children, only 3 were girls, so I would guess that many of the Pattees in this country can be traced back to John Pattee.

I can trace my family from Benjamin down to my own grandchildren, but am just beginning to be able to go from John back into time. Benjamin Pattee died in Washington State in 1941. He had two sons and two daughters (one of whom was the mother of my father), but members of this particular branch of the family bearing the surname Pattee have all died out.

I'll be happy to share with you what I already have and whatever I am able to find, if you'll email me.
