I have just begun! After years of searching my mother's line, tonight I begin looking for my father's people. My father was John Warren Pattee who died in Chicago in 1950 (polio) when I was four. I do not remember much but his father was Warren Pattee who was married to M. Groves. My great grandmother was alive, in her late 80's in 1950. I think that she was the widow of a Judge who's court was also in Chicago. I have a overshot blanket used by a Pattee during the Civil War. The owner is unknown to me. Any help for me? Or is it back to the IGI records?
