My great-grandmother was Viola (Pattee) Manson, daughter of Sumner and Susan Pattee. I'm not sure of her birthplace, but her son (my grandfather) was born in Searsmont ME in 1860. The Library in Belfast, ME, has a book of burials, and the librarian there sent me a page photocopied from the book showing Sumner Pattee's vital statistics. Maybe the Lothrops were buried in the same cemetery?

My Pattee info is very sketchy, but I'll check to see if I have any Lothrops or similar names....

Your posting has made my day!
