If your grandmother Grace (Pattee) Minter was b. Nov 1878 in MA, she is probably the dau. of Charles Calvin(b.1840 ME) and Harriet Laviscia (Fisher) Pattee (b. 1854 ME).

Charles Calvin was enumerated in Fort Fairfield, Aroostook, ME in the 1860 + 1870 censuses. Charles was in MA by 1880 and VA by 1900. His paternal ancestry:
Charles Calvin > Stephen Burbank > John > Richard Jr. > Richard > Peter b. about 1644 probably London, England d. 1724 Haverhill, Essex, MA.

Lots more about the PATTEE's. Some conjecture that PATTEE is of French Huguenot descent, but no hard evidence as yet. Dummer Pattee (1781-1814), died at French Mills, N.Y. while serving as a private in the 2nd Regt., Light Artillery during the War of 1812.

If you are interested in add'l PATTEE info, e-mail me.

I am interested in learning more about Stephen's journals. I'm also interested in anything more about your gmother Grace. I record PATTEE 'stories' as well as names, dates, places.
