I'm also trying to find out who to contact for Linwood's information. Seems like when he died, his effort did too. I only go back as far as my gfather, Elmer E. Ellsworth Pattee. Gdad was named after the first Union soldier to die in the Civil War. Therefore, I peg his birth circa 1861, d.1920's. My father was John Robert Pattee, 1904-1982. A g or gguncle, Benjamin Pattee, was in the Civil War. An inscription on the back of his photo says he was a general. There are no listed generals with the PATTEE name from the CW. His uniform looks like an enlisted man's. That's all I have for now. I'm trying to get info taking me back toward Peter Pattee to uncover our branch of the family. thanks for listening, steve
