My husband and I live in the 1730's home of William Patten/Elizabeth Gamble in Merrimack NH. We know that William and Elizabeth had eight children, that they were married in either 1729 or 1739 in Chelmsford, Mass. William was a cousin of Matthew Patten of Bedford, NH and was mentioned in Matthew's diary. I am interested in finding out more about the eight children and where they relocated. I know that one son, John, who was married to Margaret Gibson and Polly Shaw, settled in Maine. I am also interested in researching William and Elizabeth's parents and grandparents. Sometimes I can envision them sitting by the fireplace in my kitchen, spinning or reading with the children! Thanks for any assistance.
