Looking for information on Harrison Patten b. abt. 1829, probably Brown Co., OH to James Patten and Nancy Gorrell. Harrison and family moved to Putnam Co., IL abt. 1833. Other locations for his family is LaSalle Co., IL.

In 1851, Harrison m. Sarah Jane Salisbury, sister-in-law to his brother, John Patten who m. Ann W. Salisbury.
In 1852, Harrison is noted to have left on the Oregon Trail, but so far I have not found his name in that register, but did find the names of people he left with, Stephen D. Willis and Henry Purdy, his brother-in-law who m. Eliza Jane Patten.
In 1853, Harrison left for CA and a few years later he and Sarah Jane Salisbury divorced. Sarah Jane Salisbury remarried to James G. Ross also of IL.
I don't know if Harrison remarried or what happened to him after he left for CA, other than he was "squeezed by a bear out west," which I would venture to say probably killed him.

We have found Harrison in census records up to 1850, Putnam Co., IL.

Harrison's siblings were:
William Patten b. 1811 PA m. Lucinda Snedeker & Jane Salisbury
Robert Patten b. 1814, PA, m. Sarah Jane Baird
Thompson Patten b. 1817, PA, m. Mary Ann ? (I also need more info on Thompson Patten and Mary Ann ?)
Mary A. Patten b. 1819, PA, never married
John Patten b. 1821, OH, m. Ann Wiley Salisbury
Eliza Jane Patten b. 1823, OH, m. Henry Purdy (I also need more info on Eliza Jane Patten and Henry Purdy)
David Patten b. 1826, OH, m. Catherine Umbarger & Sarah "Sadie" Brooks
Lucinda Patten b. 1830, OH m. Dr. Salisbury (I also need more info on Lucinda Patten and Dr. ? Salisbury)

Any information appreciated! Thanks!
