Hi Kathleen (a good Irish name),

Close, but no cigar. I know of Matthew and his heritage.

The John I'm trying to nail down was in Marblehead, Essex, Mass in 1731, a fisherman who was probably born about 1700, probably immigrated in 1718, died about 1736 in Marblehead, Essex, Mass. I don't have his wife, but suspect she and at least one child immigrated together with him.

He had a son John who married (first) Margaret\\, next married Mary Thompson in Marblehead on Dec 25, 1760. I have eight or nine children for this John (son of John), but I'm not exactly sure of his parents.

Thanks for the interest and the info.

Bruce
