I am researching the Patten family in mid-Cheshire, England from the present to (so far) the 18th century. The most common recurring first names are Thomas, John and William. My research is centred on Northwich, but, because of the River Weaver, the range is to Liverpool-interested also in Runcorn, Cheadle and Stockport Pattens.
