I am the great grandaughter and grandaughter of the two Marion Brown Pattens (b. 1828 and 1871). I was always told that we were related to Gen. Francis Marion (Revolutionary War) but, if so, I have no idea how. I know Francis did not have any children but his brother Gabriel did.
Can anyone help me?
