DJ,
I am researching the family of Elizabeth Patten of Candia who was married to Andrew Simpson who is mentioned in several sources as being of Scotch-Irish decendancy. He appears to have come to America to Boston c. 1725 and subsequently the family appears in Nottingham, NH. Elizabeth was killed in an Indian attack, dates vary from 1742 to 1747. There is actually a placque on the outskirs of town to commemorate her death as well as 2 males who were also killed.
A Robert Simpson (whose father is named as Alexander in sources I have not yet been able to find) bought land with an Andrew Simpson in 1725 in Nottingham.
I think Robert and Elizabeth were siblings based on the above and their approximate ages.
Not sure if this would connect with what you are looking for but any help, names, dates, at this point might help.
