Hi Amy,
I did receive your email as well.

I'm afraid I don't know alot about our family from this end other than what I had mentioned in earlier posts, but I will provided further details on what I do know about my immediate family, if this helps on the quest...

I am Carl Elwood Pauff, technically the 3rd but was never tagged as such. Born in Coaldale,PA in Oct of '64. Lived most of my childhood in Jim Thorpe, PA until '82 when we moved to Nesquehoning, PA. I left the area shortly thereafter.

My Father, Carl E. Pauff (II) b.Aug, '39 has spent all his life in Jim Thorpe with the exception of the last 20 years in Nesquehoning. He married my mother, the former Nancy Lee Billman of Tamaqua, PA in '67 and they were together until her death in Sept, '97

My Grandfather, Carl E. Pauff, not sure of the DOB, passed in '47 or '48 when my father was 9 yrs old. He was a paper hanger and may have done some mining in the area. He is buried in Nesquehoning. My Grandmother, the former Helen Hill had 3 children: Ruth of Nesquehoning, Raymond who lives in the Poconos and my father, Carl. After my Grandfather's passing she later re-married to Albert Hertzog and had several children: Albertine, Maxine and Albert. She passed away in '80 or '81. Albertine and Maxine are both deceased, Albert is in New Jersey.

I am not aware of any brothers to my Grandfather and will need to check. My Aunt Ruth is a wealth of information pertaining to our local Pauff heritage, as well as the families involved through marriage, divorce and so on, and I will have to contact her for all the details.

It's funny, as I am writing this down, I start to realise just how little I know about my own family. It's kinda cool looking at the possibilities of where this will go.

Talk to ya soon....
