Johann Paulin, migrated to Australia 1950

I am trying to find out the history of my Grandmother. Unfortunately she died before I could talk to her about it, so I am asking for help out there.

My grandmothers maiden name was Maria Paulin, born November 1937 in Ljubrana, Slovenia. She migrated with her family in 1950. I am trying to find out information about her parents, Johann & Anna Paulin. Johann born 1901 unknown birthplace and Anna 1907. I do not know of her maiden name. They travelled on a ship from Bremerhaven, Germany to Australia and from what I gather Johann was running from something, apparently I heard that he was charged as a Traitor, do no know who, but I am guessing the Germans.

So if there is anyone with information on Johann Paulin, please email me.
