Hello reciever,
Some years ago, my mother, received a postcard from a 'Paulsen' in Germany who had evidently research his family name from Germany to Norway and found my fathers name in Flint, Michigan. This was after 1963, my father was deceased after this date. No one in the family was interested back then, and the postcard was lost or thrown away. :-( Following is information of the family first found in Norway.
Ole Pedersen b. 1666
Gulbrand Olsen b. 1680
Paul Gulbrandsen b. 1746
Jens Paulsen b. 1773
Baard Paul Paulsen (Jensen) b. 2 Oct. 1806
I am wondering if there is a connection as I located your site from the listing of German sites.
The name Hansen is connected to my family from Norway through my grandmother, Hilda Marie Hansdatter b. 1879.
Her parents are: Hans Mathias Hansen b. 1846 and Marcelie Marie Rikardsdatter b. 1857. The Rikardsdatter family (Gabrielsen) I have much research.
Please let me know if you are connected to my families.
Web page: I am actually looking for families the migrated from Germany to Norway and to the original inquirer from Germany of my family.
Karen Paulsen-Kops
