My grandfather's name was Mike Pavolko. I cannot find info on him because of the various spellings that may have been used. Did your husband's grandfather have any other spellings? I don't even know where he came from except Austria, which ruled Slovakia then. He received his naturalization certificate in 1901 and had to have been here in the USA for 5 years. So he at least arrived in 1896.
