Payan Street in West Warwick, Rhode Island

To Whom it Nay Concern...

Narcisse Payan dit St. Onge was buried in the St. Joseph Cemetery in West Warwick, Rhode Island USA on Gough Avenue. My question has to do with an adjoining street which is Payan Street. Does anybody in the West Warwick, RI area know who this street was named after and when?

Any related information would be greatly appreciated.

Incidentally, Narcisse was my maternal great-great-great grandfather> He was married at Mont St. Gregoire, Iberville County, PQ, Canada on March 16, 1848 to a Rose Normandin who is also buried in that West Warwick cemetery - in Section C - Gough Avenue ... `15 ft away from Pole #104'.
