I am a descendent of Jacques through his daughter Marie Marguerite, born November 9, 1717 in Quebec City. Marie married Claude Balthasar Mainguy at Notre-Dame-de-Quebec church on October 17, 1735. Claude and Marie had 13 children although not all lived. Their son Pierre married Marie Josephe Pouliot also at Notre-Dame-de-Quebec and moved to Sainte-Foy where a street is named after the family. They had eight children, the last being Jean Baptiste Mainguy who married Marie Scholastique Savard. They are parents of my great grandmother Josephine Mainguy who married Peter White. My grandmother, Elisabeth White, married Peter McGuire.
