My name is Ralph Mitchell.I live in South Burlington.Antoine Payan dit St-Onge and Marie Breau-Chayotte are my 5th great grandparents through their son Charles and granddaughter Marguerite who married Joseph LaMotte. My mother's maiden name is LaMotte.
I can help you with your question about Joseph Payan dit St-Onge and Genevieve....I see that Jack Payan responded to your message. However,he was talking about Joseph-Jacques Payan who is Antoine's Grandfather.Antoine's parents are Louis Joseph and Genevieve Dalleret(Dalleray).I had problems with this at first because he was married as Louis. The original marraige record with Genevieve is very hard to read. However, his first marraige record to Marie Josephe Lesperance clearly has his mother's name as Genevieve Dalleret. His baptism is as Louis Joseph as well.
I will gladly provide you with any further information that you need.
