I have been able to trace my ancestors to East Maria, Quebec ( southwest shore of Gaspe peninsula, near Grande-Cascopedia)but have hit a dead end there. Are you aware of any St. Onge's in that area between the years 1820 and 1870? Names were Mathias, Joseph, and Patrick ( Matseus ) St. Onge. Also, are you familiar with a place called "the Irish Settlement" in that areain the same time frame? Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. I've been stuck here for almost a year now...
