I only discovered today that I am a descendent of Jacques Payan (dit St. Onge). I am a great-grandchild of Francois St. Onge and Emma Roy, who married in Wickham, Quebec in 1904 and moved to Saco, maine, where my grandmother Aurore St. Onge was born in 1908.

You mentioned that the "dit St. Onge" came much later than Jacques Payan. Do you know when the "dit St. Onge" came in? It's hard to tell from the records I've seen so far.

Thanks for your help!
