Would the grand father of your son-in Law happen to be David Payan? I know David Payan, who recently passed away, had 2 children born near or around San Diego. There names were Daniel and Martha?
I know that the Payan family that settled in El Paso Texas originally came from Chuihuahua. Roman Payan and Leonarda Velasco Molina married and migrated to the U.S. They had 8 Childeren (Roman, Mike, Cecilo, Elena, Pete, Fernando, David, Ernesto).
This may help. We are in the midst of compiling the genology of the Chuihuahua family.
