Sorry to have taken so long to get back with you, but my son-in-law just got some more info from his biological father:

Daniel Payan, b. 1956 Chihuahua. He was the son of:

Manuel Payan, also of Chihuahua. He married Elvira Hernandez(note: she is still living although her husband died not long ago. I would be guessing, but it would seem that Manuel Payan would have been b. c. 1926-36, probably in Chihuahua).

Don't have the name of Manuel Payan's parents yet, but Elvira(Hernandez)Payan was the daughter of Manuel Hernandez.

Is this enough to place the family in with the rest of the Chihuahua line????
