Sandra, John Payson was b.June 11, 1643 (Roxbury VRs) and d. November 15, 1719 (Roxbury Vrs). His wife d. February 21, 1680/81 (same source), although I yet find no primary source for the marriage. She was Bathsheba Tileston. May I ask if you've found documentation for this marriage?

He is buried in the Eliot Cemetery in Roxbury. The Alphabetical Index to Eliot Burying Ground in Roxbury, Massachusetts, published 6-10-1988, gives the deathdate on John Payson's tombstone as 1719/11/16. The plot number is A-5. Other nearby listings include
Abigail Payson       d. 1786/11/27       A-4
Hannah Payson       d. 1724/11/25       A-6
Isaac Payson       d. 1743/06/26       A-7
John Payson       d. 1748/1/23       A-8
Mary Payson       d. 1767/7/30       A-9
Benjamin Payson       d. 1769/5/31       A-10
John Payson       d. 1747/1/6       A-14
Jacob Payson       d. 1721/12/7       A-18
Sarah Payson       d. 1761/06/23       A-24

I descend from John's nephew, Jonathan (son of John's brother Ephraim), and his wife, Ann Blake.
