I have a Dea. Giles Payson b. 1606 in London, ENG. Came to Roxbury, MA in 1635 on the "Hopewell". He married Elizabeth Dowell in 1637 in Roxbury. He was the father of Elizabeth, Samuel, Elizabeth (again), and Sarah. Giles died Jan. 28, 1689 in Roxbury. He was a husbandman by trade. Citations are in "The Foster Genealogy" and "Pioneers of Massachusetts".
