Hi June!

If my records are correct, my husband is related to your Samuel Payson! He would be our great, great, great grandfather. Here is what I have:

Samuel Payson, born about 1789 in Rhode Island
Died before the 1830 census

Married to Cloe (Chloe?), born about 1793 in Rhode Island
Died after the 1850 census.

I have a little information on his son, also Samuel Payson (wife Eliza Pettis) and his father, still another Samuel Payson (wife Ruth)

If you would like to share information, or know of any other forums that might help, I would be happy to share with you :) We are just starting our genealogical research here.
