Is there only one Payson responsible for all the Paysons in North America? Would that be Edward who arrived in the 1630's? Does anyone know differently?
I am researching the name Payson, If you would like to contribute your family branch, or copies of pictures, letters or anything remotely to do with the Payson name, I would be most appreciative. If you are sending photos and you want them back please include a self-addressed envelope and I will scan them and send them back to you. My address isí
If you just want to see what I have, (Names and details of the living are deleted unless permission has been granted otherwise) then E-Mail or slow mail me. I'll scan pictures and newpaper clipping as well as any other articals that are of interest. Sharing by E-mail is free.
If you want a hard copy, I can not afford to print and copy and mail about 90-100 pages to everone that may request copies. That does not include copies of deeds, maps etc.
So in that case write me and we will try and figure something out. This is not complete by any means, nor is it error free. Even historicans make mistakes. If, or should I say, when you find some please let me know so I can correct them.
While only one family, that I'm of aware of, so far, moved to Canada, there appears to be quite a few that may have return in later years. Correction, it maybe that there were two Paysons that moved up to Nova Scotia, independent from each other. If you are having difficulty with your Payson family history, maybe your great great grandfather was a Canadian
