My great grandmother was Miriam A. Peacey born 1843 in Charlton Kings, John
Peacey and his wife Martha--. Other children in the family were:Matilda b. 1837, Jesse b.
1839 and Walter b. 1850. One of the boys was deaf and used sign language. Miriam married
first a George Peacey (possibly a cousin)and
had two sons,Alfred George b. 1864 and Harry
(Henry Ernest) b. 1873. The family immigrated to Chicago then later to Toronto were George
died from a fall from a ladder. She later married Alonzo Watkins. I would like to hear from anyone who can connect to this family or any Peacey researchers who think they have roots in Gloucestershire.
