Jacob Peacey was born in 1831 and in the 1841 census of Waterlane Bisley is shown living with his father Thomas aged 75, his mother Jane aged 50 and siblings Betsey aged 13 and Thomas who was 7 years old.
It is considered (I have not seen documentary evidence but an amateur researcher in Dursley GLS told me) that Jacob most likely had other siblings viz. John baptised Apr. 14 1816, Lydia, William, Richard all bap'd Ju7ne 1822 and David bap'd March 1825. Richard died on New Year's day 1841 and Jane Peacey died in Dec. 1842.
I understand that Jane Peacey's maiden name was Gardner and that she married Thomas in Minchinhampton.
Should anyone want a list of all the Peacey deaths as listed in the ONS Index of deaths (mid 1837 to 1956) I can send it by e-mail. I also have the GLS 1851 census, the UK 1881 census LDS information (not a true transcription) and church records from Minchinhampton and limited ones from Horsley GLS. I am willing to search these records.
