Neil.
I have been researching my Peacey ancestors too, and they hailed from Northleach. My great great great great grandfather was Robert Peacey, son of Thomas and Ann Peacey. Robert was born in 1748 and married Susannah Houltam in 1774.
Robert's siblings were Elizabeth (born 1736), John (1737), William (1739), Richard (1741), Thomas (1742) and Ann (1750). I don't know if there were others between Thomas' birth in 1742 and Robert's birth in 1748 - this is quite a big gap for those times! I have looked at the Northleach baptism records in the Gloucester Records Office, but they are almost impossible to read.
I am interested in your William Peacey, he of the agricultural genius. This is the guy who has a memorial in Crudwell church (I have seen this memorial, it's quite something).
Do you know who William's parents were, and who was his wife?
I am wondering if your William may have been a cousin to my Robert.
Any information you have would be very much appreciated.
Regards, Carole.
