Below is a letter from Margaret E. Wheat to her brother Charles F. Peacher. There is a Mary Pitcher listed as living with Nathaniel and Margaret Wheat in the 1850 Scott Co., IN census. Is this Margaret's sister? There is also a Pitcher family Joseph, 22, Amanda, 16, Charles, 62, and Charles F. 10 in the 1860 Scott Co.,census. I believe this is Margaret's family Peachers. Sometimes the name is spelled Pitcher.
Does anyone have any information on this Peacher/Pitcher family? I am also interested where Nathaniel, Margaret's husband and David the son are when this letter was written as only the daughter Mary is mentioned.
any information would be helpful.
