Kim, I received your message regarding peachers and mistakenly deleted. My family is originally from Harpers Ferry, WV. My Grandfather was William Lee Peacher, his wife was Fannie Rankin. They had nine children, John, Lindy, Earl, Charles, Mary, Beatrice, Paul, Rosie, a son I cannot remember. William Lee Peacher has brothers who played music in Jefferson County as youth. There was a Peachers Mill on the potomac river. To my knowledge the Peachers have been in the Harpers Ferry area since the late 1700's. I am under the impression that one of them owned a store in the Harpers Ferry area in the 180's. This is what I have heard, I do not know for a fact. My father was John Jones Peacher. He was born in 1930 in Harpers Ferry. He had four sons; John Randall (me), Paul Craig, Steven Kent, and Michael Anthony. Dad married Elizabeth Alice Hilliard from Shenandoah Junction, WV. Her father was Paul William Hilliard and her mother, my Grandmother was Edity Alice Turner. They were originally from the Stanley area of Virginia. Sorry for not getting back with you sooner. I have additional info from my uncles and aunts....Thanks!
