Hi, Karen. Stockley Donelson Peal was my maternal great-great grandfather. Most of what I know about his early life and history I learned from a book written by Jean Dennison about her Stroud/Dennison family history.

I did some research on my own back in 1992-1993 and came across some info from census records in TN and MS as well as his muster roll while in the 20th TN Army regiment during the Civil War.
