Tom,
The earliest this particular line of Peals has been traced to is 1795 in Bedford County, Virginia, with the birth of Joseph Andrew Peal. He married a Martha Wilson and had 9 children. Their son, John Luther Peal, is the one I have traced my family through. The family moved to Kanawha County, (W)VA between 1854-1856. I have a goodly amount of information on the Peal family, most of it compiled by Ira Lawrence Davis. I have done some research on these Peals through the censuses on ancestry.com. If you would like to exchange more information, please contact me at
lisac@baylorbears.com
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Lisa
