Hi,Evelyn-
Good to hear from you!My grandfather,John Piearcy, and your husband's grandfather, James, were brothers and our fathers first cousins. My father, Albert D. "Bake" Piearcy (now deceased) was quite a bit younger. He was b 1913 in OK.He did say he remembered his "Uncle Jim".
John Daniel's name was listed in the Piearcy family applicaion for Choctaw Indian citizenship in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
Are you one of the family that came to Central CA? E-mail me when you get a chance.I have info on the first formal Piearcy family reunion to be held in OK this coming June 17.Also, I am happy to share info.
