I'm looking for someone who may know something about this person who was evidently a priest or father within the Catholic church in Maine. I have a photograph of him that was taken at Ford Studio in Augusta ME circa 1920. In the photo, he is wearing a lacey robe that looks knitted. I also contacted the Portland Diocese for info, but they evidently don't reply to such inquiries or have no info to lend as I haven't heard anything back in quite some time. I doubt if it would take them this long to find his name in their records, but I know that the Catholics keep records of births and such things of their parish. There are two older Catholic churches in Augusta that might be considered as his possible 20's home, St. Mary's or St. Augustine's, but a later one that began in 1968 is not considered a candidate. But I doubt that he grew up in one of these. There is also a Catholic college in Van Buren, Maine, St. Mary's. I am mostly curious as to what nationality he was. Would Tenkay be Russian? If so, could he have been Russian orthodox or something other than what I have been searching for? I guess I don't understand RO very much and not sure what to search for in this regard. Perhaps I'll learn something from this query into long ago. He looks like someone who would be nice to have as a religious father. Thanks a lot.
