hi, kelli, I know of a Bill Perrel in Alabama, whose ancesters origons are Irish, (and close to the location in Galway, Ireland where my family origons also are). Bill's family ancesters used the Pearl version when spelling their Surname when in Ireland,-as some of my own family does-. I am researching the pearl, peril, perril, perrel, etc., lines. Your grand-mothers given name, Tess, is popular in Ireland,-- please feel free to contact me and we might make progress in our mutual quest.

Author, Patrick Peril
