Hi Susan, about 3 years ago you left this message on the Pearl Family Genealogy Forum re Sarah Jane Pearl b. about 1822. I could have replied to you at that time but if I did, just ran across it again. Were you able to get anywhere with this?
I descend from John Pearl, d. 1844 in NS and he could very well have been the father of Sarah, or his son Hiram could have been. I descend from John's son Michael. Hiram had a son named John and one of his children was named Sarah Anne b. 1855 ca. There were several family names repeated in each generation so the possibility is certainly there for it to be this family. My Michael was b. about 1822 according to census in 1901 but as you know, lots of mistakes were made on census.
Let me hear from you. I've not been able to complete John's family or find him anywhere before 1798 when he showed up in Billtown, Cornwallis, NS. Heather
