Jennifer - This is a long shot, but you seem to be the only one currently working on the Pearl Family. My James Pearl I was in the Revolution from Cumberland County, North Carolina and I have some data on him. He seems to have not filed for Rev War Pention and his wife seems to have died before him. His son James Pearl II is in NC until his death in early 1850s. One of James Pearl II sons states on every census that his father was born in New York. We know from the 1850 census his father was born in NC and that is what his siblings also say in the census.I think he may be referring to his grandfather, James Pearl II. Have you any information on a James that might be this James Pearl II. James Peral II seems to have been born about 1740-1750.
Thanks.
